Solar Rebates & Incentives
There are several incentives and rebates to help offset the initial costs of acquiring solar energy systems. Below are a few statewide and federal incentives:
- Austin Energy offers rebates to help customers implement solar photovoltaic and solar hot water technologies in their homes and businesses. These rebates help offset the cost of a solar photovoltaic electric or solar hot water system.
- CPS Energy is committed to making the most of clean, renewable energy sources like solar power. Power from the sun is one of the most well-known forms of clean energy.
Through their Solar Initiative Program, residential and commercial customers can take advantage of valuable rebates they offer for the installation of solar measures including solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar attic fans, solar hot water heating systems, and window solar screens.
- The Federal Government is also offering tax incentives for Photovoltaics (PV), solar hot water and other solar technologies to both corporate and residential consumers.
